***Full Shell Hearing Aid Accessories

The Full Shell Aid term for custom built or stock hearing aids refers to the size of the hearing aid itself only. We carry many different types of circuits, or electronics; from the basic analog to the high end digital technology, and they are available from almost any of the major manufacturers. We are well versed and experienced in all of the latest hearing aid industry developments.

Full-Shell hearing aids Hearing Aids are made to the exact size and shape of a person's ear. This size hearing aid is the largest of In-The-Ear hearing aids and has a lesser cost. Full-Shell hearing aids are able to be used for the widest range of degrees of hearing loss. They are appropriate for all of the hearing losses ranging from mild to severe (including high-frequency losses). We will match the power and frequency of the circuit that is installed in Full Shell hearing aids, to a person's specific needs. That is why there are no output specifications associated with Full Shell hearing aids.

Since the Full-Shell aid is larger, it provides the best airtight seal compared to other sizes of In-The-Ear aids. This allows the user a higher usable volume level and is the major factor in reducing feedback and whistling problems. These hearing aids almost always use the size #13 batteries, and the faceplates (the part that shows) is usually about the size of a quarter. Most of these aids are vented for help in reducing occlusion (the feeling of 'talking in a barrel').

Special Instructions for Custom In-The-Ear Instrument Orders:
When your order is received, we will send you a FREE impression kit. It is very easy to make an impression(cast) of your ear... over the years tens of thousands of our customers have done this. Another option is if you have an older instrument that fits well, we can use that hearing aid for the impression. Either of these is necessary for custom-fitted hearing aids. If you have an audiogram (from a hearing test) it would be very helpful if you provided a copy of it to us, but is not necessary.
