Ear Wax (Cerumen) Pick
Ear Wax (Cerumen) Pick

This inexpensive tool is a must for ALL users of any type of In The Ear hearing aids. Earwax (cerumen is the official name) is the largest problem ITE wearers have. No matter what kind of ITE hearing technology you have from the latest digital hearing aids to the simple analog ones earwax can knock it out.

To prevent this, ITE wears need to do daily cleaning maintenance on their ITE hearing aids. Our wax pick is the handiest tool for accomplishing this, just insert the wax pick into the hole where the sound comes out (receiver tube). The wax pixk has a short very fine wire loop on the end to pull earwax and debris out of the receiver tube.

When you are cleaning your ITE hearing aid the receiver tube should point down towards the floor so when you loosen debris, dirt and ear wax it will fall to the floor and not back down inside the hearing aid. If you do not clean this hole the earwax will build up and get into the receiver (speaker) and ruin it causing repair expense.

The wax pick is the best and most inexpensive tool for preventing this.

We also have a combination tool called the Wax Pick & Brush is included in the HearingAidsNow.com In-The-Ear Cleaning Kit.
